“But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”
Ezekiel 33:6
The prophet Ezekiel was called to be a watchman for Israel and it was a great responsibility. If the watchman failed to sound the alarm the blood of those destroyed would be required at his hand. How about America? We face an enemy of tremendous evil and destruction that wishes our downfall and even our death. Has God called you to be a watchman for America. Truly we need watchmen at a time such as this. However, our message is the good news of salvation available through Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. It is our responsibility to share that message with those around you for they are doomed for an eternity in the “Lake of Fire” unless Christ be their Saviour.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 14:6
The world tells us that there are many ways, that all religions lead to God. But God’s word tells us the truth. For it says that there is only one way to God, not many ways. For there is only one way and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one truth, and that truth is the Lord Jesus Christ. There is only one way to eternal life and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are many deceivers and liars in this world so you must be discerning in who you listen to. If you listen to those who say that there are many ways to God you will find yourself on the wrong way, following a lie and eternal death. Christ is the only way! There is none other. Be wise, search the Scriptures for they point the way to Christ, who is life to all who put their faith and trust in Him.

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the LORD is.”
Ephesians 15:15-17
We are told not to walk as fools but as wise, we are to redeem the time. When a talented young person dies we say; “isn’t it a shame that they died so young, imagine what they could have done with their life had they lived longer.” There is a nugget of truth in that statement. But what about us, how are we living our lives? Are we wasting our time? We are to seek and understand God’s will for ourselves. None of us knows when we will draw our last breath, and as long as the Lord gives us life on earth we should desire to do His will. We are not to waste our lives, but to live as He directs us through the word of God and the guiding of His Spirit. Let us redeem the time, live as He directs and when we stand before Him we will not be ashamed.

“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
Daniel 12:3
In 1948 Jim Elliot wrote in his journal, “Saturate me with the oil of the Spirit that I may be a flame, but a flame is often short-lived. Can thou bear this my soul?” How would I answer that question, how would you answer that question? May the desire of our heart be the Lord’s will for our lives. Praise the Lord!

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
II Timothy 4:3-4
The Apostle Paul warned Timothy that the time would come when the people would not endure sound doctrine. He warned that they would turn their ears from the truth and hear fictitious tales. That they would depart from the faith and be “tossed to and fro,” and carried about with every wind of doctrine,” Titus 2:1.
Today, the day we now live in is a perfect example of what Paul was telling Timothy. Men have a wavering faith, their doctrine is not sound. Not only is the doctrine not sound, but having ears to hear they do not hear. They turn to false teachers and preachers that tickle the ears with pleasant words. They say they preach a gospel of hope, staying away from anything negative. But what they are actually teaching is death to the soul, and many will spend eternity in the “Lake of Fire because of these false teachers. Do not be mislead by their lies and half-truths. The consequences for your eternity is at stake.
Lies and deceit seem to rule today. Good is now called evil and evil is called good. Men’s hearts find no peace, there is fear and trembling as this country seems to be turned upside down. Peace is gone for so many, and many question their faith. The reason for this wavering is because we have forgotten the promises of our Lord and Savior. And many are ignorant of the “Word of God.” The solution is the same today just as it was in Paul’s day and the antidote is; “Preach the Word…”!

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
Eternal life! Movies like Indiana Jones and others are searching for the chalice that will give them eternal life and power. But the immoral characters usually drink from the wrong cup and end up becoming dust. They instead find death inside the cup.
To live forever is a dream of so many, and for others it seems like a terrible curse. It depends upon ones frame of mind and the condition of their physical health at the time. But why search for something that is a free gift. For God holds out each human being the choice of either “eternal life” or “eternal death.”
God gave us this gift in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you must do is accept it, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and “eternal life” shall be yours. Refuse this gift and you will have chosen wrong, and “eternal death” will be yours.”
Choose Wisely for your eternal destiny is at stake!

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”
Matthew 24:12
The love of many shall wax cold – When evil abounds and there is no restraining of it, the love of many shall wax cold. Evil men and women as they rule and false prophets as they speak lies has a cooling effect upon the heart. Trials and persecutions, and apostasies can steal our love and confidence in our Lord. Some may even desert the faith, while others will corrupt the truth.
Only through prayer and the study of God’s word, especially at times when we are discouraged and feel the bottom has dropped out of our lives and everything is hopeless, will we find peace. At times like these reading God’s Word is as a refreshing breeze. Our zeal can only be maintained by staying close to our Lord and Saviour, talking with Him and taking time to listen to Him. This world is controlled by His “will” and not ours. A life of hopelessness and depression cannot serve our Lord. But remember! We must one day all stand before the Lord Jesus Christ and answer for our lives. Praise the Lord, keep looking up, draw nearer to Him and He will give us the peace that passeth understanding!

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
Proverbs 24:10
The test of adversity. Do we give up when everything goes wrong, when there is no money for the bills or there is some kind of adversity in our lives. Solomon, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, tells us if we faint or give up under the adversity our strength is small, weak. Even when we feel like giving up, that everything is hopeless we need to maintain our hope and our integrity.
Adversity tests our integrity, to keep our word, to stay close to the Lord. It is times like these when we pull away from the Lord, not trusting in Him, and without His guidance we can make mistakes that will follow us the rest of our lives.
When adversity strikes its easy to yell out WHY LORD! Instead we should fall to our knees and ask the Lord for strength and direction and endurance and His help. This is the safe way, really the only way to make it through adversity and have a joyful spirit. When in trouble call upon the Lord and He will give you help!
