“For the LORD your God is God of gods, and LORD of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:”
Deut. 10:17
Jonathan Edwards said: “When God is about to do a mighty new thing He always sets His people praying.”
What mighty thing is God about to do, for it seems He has set His people to praying. The Covid-19 virus has reeked havoc around the world as it is aided by those who wish to be rich and to rule the world. Deceit has seen a new low, and America is on the verge of destruction. But God who is not limited in any way, whose power is beyond all power, whose wisdom is wiser than human comprehension is still on the throne. He that setteth…
“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.”
Psalm 2:4
As the Lord Jesus Christ works bringing His will into fruition let us, His people, those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ bow before Him. Let us bow in His presence in prayer bringing our petitions before Him. He is the mighty “I AM” of the Bible and nothing is to hard for Him to do. Praise His holy name!
“And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
Luke 3:9
America’s beginning was good. The roots ran deep, however the foundations of this country are crumbling. Those that despise America and its Godly heritage now wish to destroy it. May God be merciful to this country and to us.

“Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Phillippians 4:6-7
The peace of God guards us when we pray with thanksgiving. May our prayers for thanksgiving to the Lord enrich our lives when we turn our focus to His many promises and blessings. Giving thanks through prayer has power to turn anxiety into peace, sadness into joy, and grief into comfort. May we always come before Him in humility laying our hearts before Him. For He cares for us. When His will becomes our will then our prayers will always be within His will.

“That in the ages to come He might show us the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness towards us through Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 2:7
How rich are you? There are many who own mansions worth millions, and those who make many, many millions of dollars every year. Some are rich beyond comprehension, but are they really rich? True riches, what are they? We might say dollars, investments, properties, having the power and authority so that others back away in awe of us. However, true riches are not these. Money, property, fame, power, authority and whatever else we believe to be riches will vanish in an instant. But true riches! True riches come only through Jesus Christ, and His children will never know until they reach eternity with just how rich they are. For everything that exists is owned by Christ and He promises to share it with those who have placed their truth and faith in Him. If only those who reject Him would realize the riches they could have in Him, they would receive Christ without a moments thought. Believers’, we are rich beyond our imaginations and it can never be taken away. Praise God for His love and mercy, for He is the great “I Am” of the Bible.

“In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Psalm 11:1-3
David’s enemies were all around him and there was no way of escape, he needed a safe place in which to rest. David asked the Lord the question; “Lord what can the righteous do when the foundations are under attack and seem to have fallen.” The Lord fills David’s heart and ours also. When everything is falling apart and shaking under our feet, the only stable ground, the only safe ground, is that which is laid by Christ. God’s Word is firm like a rock and cannot be shaken. Though evil men and women try, instead of breaking the Word of God, they will be broken by the Word of God. Difficult times will come when we face the evil which is coming. Only those whose hearts are right with God, yielded to the control of the Holy Spirit can face the future without fainting. May the Lord be merciful to us and to our nation!
Socrates once said: “Bad men live that they may eat and drink, whereas good men eat and drink that they may live.”
Solomon, the wisest man on earth at the time had a different look at this subject. He said: “There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good This also I have seen, that it is from the hand of God. For who can eat and who can have enjoyment without Him? (Eccles. 2:24-25)
However in the New Testament the Apostle Paul puts that thought on a much higher plain. He says in (I Cor. 10:31)
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Are we wise or are we foolish. If we are wise this will be the primary motivation in our lives.
